Last Wednesday was our Open House and I had the privileged of working with Dean Lightner for the Dean talk. It was an amazing opportunity to talk to her about being a student and my path to UC Blue Ash. The insight that she had for incoming student was inspiring and I really related to her point about Blue Ash being a fresh start for many incoming students. As the ambassador in that position I was required to tell the people where to go after the meeting with the Dean. I also took the initiative to have an ambassador ask those waiting if they had any questions for a student since they would just be sitting in the hall doing nothing otherwise.

I learned more about solitary confinement and the horrors the accompany it. Solitary treats inmates like they are less than animals and cause severe mental health issues. There are countless suicide attempts in there and many inmate struggle everyday with living there which sometimes causes them to act out even more.
